Manitou Group and HD Construction Equipment enter into a cooperation for Compact Equipment

French equipment manufacturer Manitou Group and Korea's HD Construction Equipment which owns Hyundai & Develon brands have entered in a cooperation agreement which could help them increase their market shares.

Currently, HD Construction Equipment has a strong foothold in the mini-excavator segment and on the other hand Manitou's Rough Terrain Forklifts boasts strong technical features. Utilizing each other's strong products and adding them in their respective portfolio offerings would open new doors in markets where their presence is strong already.

What's interesting here to see is how the dealership network of these two brands will utilise the partnerships. In many international markets the distribution agencies are already competing against each other.
