Leibherr Launches 3 New Excavator Models. Calls It 'Generation 8'

At the Steinexpo in Germany recently, Leibher launched three new 'Generation 8' Crawler Excavators. These Excavators have been launched in the 50 tonne segment. The three models are R 948 G8, R 952 G8 and R 958 G8.

As per Leibherr these Excavators are developed to meet the demands of earthmoving, extraction and heavy-duty applications, the new machines combine a robust design, outstanding performance and are a combination of Robustness, performance and innovation.

The new Excavators feature emCAB cabin and INTUSI user interface, which is Leibher's customisable operator interface.

In recent past in the middle east, Chinese brand Crawler Excavators have taken the center stage due to their lower ownership cost and fast availability option. However European manufacturers like Volvo and Leibherr have had a more niche segment. Caterpillar on the other hand remains the market leader as fas as numbers are concerned.
